Icy Queens Winter
acrylic paint on paper, 84×59,4 cm
Open Studio Poster Series
Winter comes sharp and uninvited — like it always does. But even in the frost, fire can burn.
Icy Queens Winter is born from the final, glorious chaos of Studio4, where six years of queer rebellion, art, and community collided into color, laughter, and unapologetic joy. This piece isn’t just a poster; it’s a manifesto in pigment: anti-fascist, anti-capitalist, anti-drama. It refuses hierarchy, rules, and any system that asks you to shrink.
Step into its world: the walls smell of paint and defiance, conversations tangle with radical dreams, and every brushstroke is a middle finger to oppression. These queens don’t ask permission. They melt the cold, flip off the mundane, and crown themselves with resistance.
Created for the last CiccaBoom open studio at Studio4 – Winter Open Studio January 2026 – this artwork carries the heat of community, the tenderness of chosen family, and the fierce refusal to play by society’s rules. It belongs to those who believe joy, rebellion, and radical care are inseparable — that resistance can be messy, intimate, and dazzlingly queer.
