From the Coven series
Created in Berlin, Germany
Rave and Revolution is an acrylic painting on paper from my Coven series, created in Berlin and inspired by queer community, rave culture, and political resistance.
Set on a vibrant summer day by a lake, the artwork celebrates friendship, freedom, music, activism, and collective joy. Bodies exist without shame, people gather, dance, flirt, and create a temporary world shaped by solidarity rather than social expectations. Throughout the painting, subtle references to anti-fascism, queer liberation, and community resistance invite viewers to look beyond the surface.
This work explores a recurring theme in my practice: what happens when people choose connection over control, pleasure over fear, and freedom over conformity?
For me, rave culture is more than music. Dance floors can become spaces of belonging, self-expression, and resistance, especially for queer communities and those living outside dominant norms. In Rave and Revolution, dancing becomes both a celebration and a political act.
