Rave Riot

Rave Riot is a series of six original drawings exploring queer joy, rave culture, nightlife, and collective freedom.
Created in Berlin, these works capture the energy of underground dance floors, free parties, festivals, and the temporary communities that emerge around music. Through expressive lines and playful compositions, the series celebrates movement, self-expression, friendship, desire, and the freedom to exist without apology.
Each drawing focuses on a different fragment of the rave experience: dancing bodies, flirtation, shared euphoria, glitter-covered rebels, and moments of connection between strangers. Together, they form a visual love letter to queer nightlife and the transformative power of collective celebration.
Inspired by the belief that joy can be a form of resistance, Rave Riot reflects the role of dance floors as spaces of visibility, belonging, and liberation for queer communities, artists, activists, and outsiders. The series explores recurring themes in my practice, including LGBTQIA+ identity, feminism, body liberation, chosen family, and community building.
Small in scale but loud in spirit, these drawings celebrate dancing as an act of freedom.
